Lovetta Pauline Bailey

Pauline BaileyLovetta Pauline Bailey, age 85 of Fennimore, died on Tuesday evening August 18, 2015 at Lancaster Care Center in Lancaster. Pauline was born on April 2, 1930 in Rensselaer, IN the daughter of Sherman and Jessie (Denniston) Simonin. She married James A. Bailey on March 24, 1951 in Rensselaer, IN.

Pauline was a dedicated member of the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Fennimore since 1963. Aside from helping on the farm, Pauline worked at Badger Ordinance in Baraboo during to mid to late 1960’s and at Rayovac in Fennimore for almost 25 years. Pauline enjoyed golfing with her husband both locally and in the southern United States during the winter months. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed canning and was known for her wonderful strawberry jam. Pauline was a simple woman who took pride in raising her family and enjoyed the simple things in life.

Pauline is survived by her three children; Valerie (Scott) Bargenquast of Holdrege, NE, James P. (Paula) Bailey of Mineral Point, and Cheryl (Steve) Wagner of Sidney, OH, three grandchildren; Jill (Michael) Mitchell of Sidney, OH, Julie (Brad) Cotterman of Sidney, OH, Jonathan (Natalie) Wagner of Cincinnati, OH, two step-grandchildren; Nicole and Michael Heuer, four great-grandchildren; Cody, Grady, Bailey, and Olivia, and three step-great-grandchildren; Avis, Madoxx, and Elka.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband James on Dec. 2, 2012, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday August 22, 2015 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Dick will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday morning. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of ones choice in loving memory of Pauline Bailey.
