Carol Ann Andrew

Carol A (1)Livingston, WI-Carol Ann Andrew passed away at home on Wednesday August 12, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 11, 1925 in Eden Township, to William and Vera (Lindauer) Trankle. She married John Andrew on August 1, 1949 in Cobb.

Carol and John farmed outside of Livingston for many years raising four children.  Carol began her teaching career at Carpenter School near Mifflin in 1951.  She returned to Platteville University to earn her BA degree in 1970.  From 1970 to 1972 Carol taught at ST. Josephs School in Dodgeville.  Carol taught at Iowa-Grant Schools from 1972 to 1991, at which time she retired from teaching.  Carol was actively involved in many civic groups and faithfully served her church for many years.  Carols passions included traveling with her husband John, mission work, and spending time with her family. Carol was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a true gift from God in the lives of everyone who's life she touched, and will be sorely missed by all who loved her.

Carol is survived by her 4 children; Vernon (Sherry) Blythe of Highlands Ranch, CO; Joan (Michael) Kienitz of Livingston, WI; Daniel (Angie) Andrew of McHenry, Il; James (Brenda) Andrew of Corpus Christi, TX; 19 Grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; three sisters; Kathryn Spurley of Montfort, Lynn Halverson of Cobb, Mary Blasdel of Verona and brother Roger Trankle of Monroe.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years, John on Jan. 29, 2000, sisters Genevieve Andrew and Phyllis Addison.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Monday Aug. 17, 2015 at the Livingston United Methodist Church with burial in the Rock Church Cemetery rural Livingston with a luncheon to follow at the church hall. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Sunday Aug. 16, 2015 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Monday morning.
