September 13, 1961 – June 3, 2026
Nancy, age 64, died unexpectedly at her apartment in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Nancy was the third of five children born to Robert and Winifred (Lyons) Lamb in Lansing, Michigan on September 13,1961. She spent the first nine years of her life living near Haslett.
In October 1970, the family moved to a small farm outside of Mount Hope, Wisconsin. Nancy graduated from West Grant High School in May 1979.
She attended Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, Wisconsin and completed the interior design course. She enjoyed refinishing furniture for family and friends.
She later enrolled at UW-Platteville. After receiving her degree in education, she moved to California in 1989. She worked towards a master’s degree in education while teaching second grade.
Nancy moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2006. She also lived in Spokane, Washington and in and around Morgantown, West Virginia.
Nancy enjoyed several crafts during her life. She took china painting classes from a neighbor near Mount Hope, created porcelain dolls, created and painted glass plates and bowls, and loved sewing.
Nancy had the travel bug. One of her first major adult trips was to visit a friend in Germany when the friend’s husband was stationed there. While living in California, she made several cross-country trips back to Wisconsin and would stop at places of interest. One year she took her mother back to California. In another year, she took her sister. No matter where she lived, she was always up for a trip somewhere. After moving to West Virginia, some of her favorite destinations were parks with waterfalls. She was always willing to show visitors the waterfalls and historical sites. Two places she did not get to but wanted to were Niagara Falls and Williamsburg.
Nancy was preceded in death by her grandparents George & Marie Lamb and Donald & Charlotte Lyons, her parents Robert and Winifred Lamb, her oldest brother Michael, aunts & uncles, and several cousins. She is survived by her siblings Rebecca, David, and Bruce (Jacqueline), sister-in-law Karen Lamb, nieces and nephews Kimberly (Chris) Sindahl, Sarah (Paul) Bolwerk, John Lamb, Jason (Ashley) Lamb, great nieces and nephews Hunter, Piper, & Myra Sindahl, Parker & Savannah Lamb, her aunt Linda (Lyle) Lang, and many cousins.
