MUSCODA – John “Buck” A. Nowak, age 60, passed away on Wednesday April 2, 2025, after a short, but hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born on November 11, 1964, the son of John F. and JoAnn (Foyt) Nowak.
After graduating high school, John enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army from 1984 to 1987. He spent time in Germany, Italy, Juarez, and El Paso. After his military service, John pursued a career as an operating engineer. He recently retired and was looking forward to spending his golden years on the farm with his wife, Kim. John was a simple, and often, stubborn man. He loved spending time on the farm and enjoying the land with a cold beer in hand.
John is survived his best friend and wife of many years, Kim; their three children: Jack Nowak of Montfort, Trapper Brown of Boscobel, and Mylisa Glander of Montfort, their very beloved daughter who has been there every step of the way; one granddaughter; and 7 grandsons.
