Donna P. Lomas

Donna LomasFennimore, WI-Donna P. Lomas, age 82, died on Thursday Sept. 19, 2013 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore. Donna was born on Jan. 7, 1931 in Dodgeville the daughter of Dell & Norma (Yelinek) Needham. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, James Lomas on Aug. 16, 1952 in Fennimore.

Donna graduated from Fennimore in 1948 and then went to work as a secretary for Dr. Howell’s office until working in Rockford at the Barber Coleman Factory in the clerical department. Moving back to Fennimore, and after her marriage to Jim, she would lend a helping hand at his dental office in town. Her largest accomplishments in life were being a devoted wife and loving mother to her children; she adored her family. Donna was an excellent cook and always looked forward to family gatherings and also enjoyed working in her garden. Donna’s quiet and loving nature along with her dedication to her family will be treasured forever.

Donna is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dr. James Lomas of Fennimore, five children; James Lomas Jr. of Madison, Patrick (Debbie) Lomas of Dubuque, IA, Sarah (Brian) Graffin of Stoughton, Jennifer (Sam) Voight of Marshfield, John (Kelly) Lomas of Onalaska, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, sister Judy (Jake) Pease, brother Terry (Rogene) Needham both of Fennimore along with several nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her Parents, and two infant brothers, Dell Needham Jr. and Jerry Dean Needham.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday Sept. 26, 2013 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Hall with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Father Miguel Galvez will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening Sept. 25, 2013 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore.
