Stitzer, WI-Gerald C. “Buddy” Feist, age 77 of Stitzer, WI died on Friday Aug. 9, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. Buddy was born on July 7, 1936 on the family farm in Liberty Township Grant Co., WI the son of Charley & Lila (Heberlein) Feist. He was united in marriage to Patricia Johnson on Feb. 15, 1955 in Fennimore.
Gerald was very hard worker and proud to farm the property that has been in his family since 1875. He took great pride in farming the land and working with his cattle. Buddy loved going for rides throughout his property on his gator along with visiting his neighbors. He enjoyed going deer hunting, fishing, turkey hunting, coon hunting, gardening and cheering on his Packers and Brewers. Buddy adored his wife, four daughters, and his wonderful grandchildren. He supported them in all aspects of life and was truly their Biggest Fan! Each year Buddy looked forward to spending his birthdays at the Brewer game with his family by his side. His fondest trip was celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary to Pat in Las Vegas. Buddy’s dedication to his family will be cherished by all.
Gerald is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Feist of Stitzer, four children; Judy (Carl III) Nelson of Fennimore, Joyce (Mark) Nelson of New Lenox, IL, JoAnn (John) Wiederholt of Fennimore, Janice (John) Vosberg of DeForest, eight grandchildren; Christopher Nelson of Madison, Brent (Kristen) Nelson of Mineral Point, Ryan (Crystal Martin) Nelson of Evanston, IL, Jacalyn (Brad) Butkovich of New London, Josh Wiederholt of Dodgeville, Jake Wiederholt of Madison, Alyssa Vosberg of Iowa City, IA, Lucas (Morgan Scanlon) Vosberg of Sun Prairie, five great grandchildren; Leah & Hannah Nelson, Owen & Audrey Butkovich, and Landon Vosberg along with many very special nieces, nephews, cousins. He is further survived by brother-in-laws; Roger Johnson of Prairie du Chien, Douglas (Julie) Johnson of Des Moines, IA and a sister-in-law Diane Peterson of Junction City and a dear neighbor friend Patrick (Karen) Schroeder.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday Aug. 13, 2013 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore with burial in the Stitzer Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor John Oliver will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Monday Aug. 12, 2013 at the Larson Family Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home on Tuesday morning.
