Lancaster, WI-William F. Hugill, age 62 of Lancaster passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning March 23, 2013 at the Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster, WI. William was born on July 16, 1950 in Dodgeville, WI the son of Harold & Charlotte (Cordio) Hugill. He was united in marriage to Joann Colson on Aug. 11, 1969 in Lancaster, WI.
Bill graduated from Iowa-Grant High School and then attended Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. He went to work making cheese at the Fennimore Branch Cheese Factory for 15 years until working at CESA #3 for several years. Bill then worked for Design Homes in Prairie du Chien until having to retire due to his declining health. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He cherished his time spent with Joann and was always willing to lend a helping hand in watching the grandchildren. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, shooting black powder guns, reading, and playing poker. Bill’s passion for his family along with a quick text will be deeply missed.
William is survived by his beloved wife, Joann of Lancaster, six children; Chad (Christy) Hugill of Fennimore, Troy (Sheri) Hugill of Potosi, Tracy (Matthew) Smith of Cross Plains, Heather (John) Chyko of Lancaster, Travis (Tessa Cheney) Hugill of  Lancaster, Stacey Hugill of Lancaster, several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents, son Jason Hugill, and five brothers; Paul, Ed, David, Mike, and Tom Hugill
At the request of William, no funeral services will be held but a private burial of his cremated remains will be at a later date. The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family.
