FENNIMORE – Leonard “Len” Herman Leis, age 85, passed away on August 25, 2025, at Dove Healthcare in Fennimore. Len was born on September 18, 1939, the son of Edward and Hilda (Brueggeman) Leis. Len graduated from Cashton High School and attended Richland Teacher’s College in Richland Center. He began his career as an Industrial Engineer with Barber Coleman in Rockford, Illinois. BOSCOBEL – Sara J. Strang, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 26, 2025, at home with her family by her side. She was born on April 13, 1950, the daughter of Maurice and Anne (Waterman) Leffler. Sara grew up in Fennimore and graduated with the Fennimore High School class of 1968, where she formed a very special bond with a group of girlfriends, that lasted a lifetime. MONTOFRT – Patricia “Patty” H. Fowell, age 77, passed away on Sunday August 24, 2025, at home with her family. She was born on November 25, 1947, the daughter of Roy Sr. and Cecelia (Lemieux) Blouin. Patty was born and raised in the Chicagoland area but found her true home when her family moved to the country. She embraced country living, enjoying life on the dairy farm and later, visiting her daughters and spending time with their many chickens, geese, and dogs. FENNIMORE – Robert “Bob” K. Griffith, age 93, passed away on Thursday August 21, 2025, at Grant Regional Hospital in Lancaster. Bob was born on November 22, 1931, the son of Walter and Evelyn (Frontz) Griffith. He married Helen Bellis on March 28, 1956, at the Fennimore United Methodist Church. They shared 66 years of marriage before Helen’s passing in 2022. Bob was born and raised in Southwest Wisconsin and graduated from Platteville Highschool in 1949. He continued his education at UW Platteville where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture education. After graduating from UW Platteville, Bob enlisted and

Marian E. (Volenec) Rossing died peacefully on August 12, 2025, at the Boscobel Care & Rehab Center, Boscobel, WI. Marian was born on June 15, 1932, in Montfort, WI, the daughter of Paul & Hazel (Anderson) Volenec. She attended Montfort Schools graduating in 1950. Marian was united in marriage to Garald V Rossing on June 1, 1951, at St. Peter Lutheran Church and they made their home in the Green River valley near Fennimore. For many years Marian managed the office at Rossing Construction. She also was a CNA at Good Samaritan Nursing Home and worked at Cabella’s in Prairie
