WAUZEKA -Joan Marie Atkinson, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 20, 2024, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on July 21, 1952; the daughter of Harold and Sophia (Burgus) Lewis. Joan graduated from Boscobel High School in 1971 and married the love of her life Donald Atkinson on February 16, 1973. Together they built a life of working hard and raising their children. DUBUQUE, IA – Lawrence James Perry, age 66, passed away on Tuesday morning July 30, 2024, at his daughter’s residence in rural Fennimore. He was born one of 13 children on September 26, 1957, in Dubuque, IA. He was the son of Paul and Virginia (Manuel) Perry. Larry worked for Oral Arts Dental Lab in Dubuque, IA for over 30 years until recently having to retire due to his declining health.  His delivery route consisted of the Quad Cities area. STITZER – Kathleen “Kate” Ann Michek, age 87, passed away on Wednesday July 31, 2024, at Crestridge in Dodgeville. She was born in Woodman, WI on July 20, 1937; the youngest child of Mark and Anna (Winters) Hanley. Kate graduated from Boscobel High School in 1954. She married the love of her life, Melvin Michek on August 16, 1960, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Mount Hope. They would have celebrated 64 years married this year. CASSVILLE – Wayne R. Ploessl, age 72, passed away on Tuesday July 30, 2024, at his residence in rural Cassville with his beloved family by his side. He was born on August 28, 1951, in Lancaster the son of Ralph and Margaret (McCartney) Ploessl. He was united in marriage to Colleen Kowalski on June 7, 2008. Wayne graduated from Bloomington High School in 1969. His passion was farming, and he farmed his whole life. It wasn’t work to him, he loved being outside on his tractor, and working the land.
