Anna C. Spraggon, age 98, of Fennimore, WI passed away on Saturday February 26, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on February 24, 1924, in Montfort, WI the daughter of Clement and Rosie (Kumzak) Dicka. Anna was united in marriage to Charles Spraggon on September 15, 1943, in Montfort and spent 67 years together. Sheri Marlene Rossing

Sheri Marlene Rossing, age 63, of Boscobel, WI passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2022, due to complications from heart failure. Sheri was born on February 28, 1958, in Boscobel, WI, the daughter of Garald & Marian (Volenec) Rossing.  Sheri was raised in rural Fennimore, graduated from Fennimore High School in 1976, then attended UW LaCrosse. Sheri developed a passion for running at an early age, and her passion spanned a 40-year career as an athlete, coach, or athletic director with Track.  In high school she was the first female athlete to go to State competition in track all four

Verna Jean Casper

Verna Jean Casper, age 97, passed away with her family members present at Morningside Assisted Living in Lancaster on February 19, 2022.  Verna was born in Slabtown, WI to Vern and Cecil (Taylor) Monroe on August 29, 1924.  She was the youngest of six children.  Her family was quarantined in 1936 as they all had and survived Scarlet Fever. She attended Patch Grove School, later married Robert Slaght on November 21, 1941, and they had four children. They ran the Golf Course in Lancaster after he returned from the service in 1944. She owned the Beehive Tavern in Beetown, WI

Eldon F. "Red" Place

Eldon F. “Red” Place, age 87, of Livingston passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Edenbrook in Platteville, with his wife and children by his side.  Red was the son of Floyd and Delphia (Latham) Place born on September 25, 1934, in Grant County. He married his beautiful wife, Arlyne Schultz June 12, 1954, at Peace Lutheran Church in Platteville and they resided in Livingston for their 67 years of marriage. Red’s professional life began farming on his father’s farm, followed by his job at Yelinek’s farm.  He then worked at Livingston Creamery as a cheesemaker for 30 years.  After

Kevin G. Martin

Kevin G. Martin, age 61, of Prairie du Chien, WI passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. He was born October 17, 1960, in Prairie Du Chien, WI, the fifth child of William and Joanne Martin.  He married Kim (Mergen) Martin on July 3rd, 1982. Kevin graduated from West Grant High School and Southwest Tech with a degree in agriculture mechanics.  He was a farmer all of his life and loved working the land. He took over the family farm in 1991.  Kevin fought a 25 year battle with muscular dystrophy with grace
