Leslie M. “Chick” Klais, age 95, of Stitzer, WI died on Friday afternoon June 26, 2020 at the Boscobel Care & Rehabilitation in Boscobel. He was born on February 1, 1925 the son of Leslie and Mary (Novinskie) Klais. Chick enlisted in the U.S. Marines and served from 1945 until being honorably discharged in 1946 and serving during WWII. LAMONI, IA – Evelyn Anna Novak, age 99, formerly of Montfort, Wisconsin passed away Saturday evening June 13, 2020, at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa. Evelyn was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 29, 1921.  She was the daughter of William and Marie (Formanek) Rabinak.  During the Depression, her family moved from Oak Park, Illinois to North Judson, Indiana.  In 1935, she completed elementary school in San Pierre, Indiana. Megan Breanne Nolt, age 5 weeks 6 days of Fennimore, WI passed away at home on Tuesday June 23, 2020, at 1:10 P.M. The infant daughter of Merle and Grace Ann Nolt and big brother Ashton. Chester C. ¨Chet¨ Nowak, age 89, of Madison, formerly of Fennimore, passed away on Tuesday June 9th, 2020 at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg. Chet was born on January 10, 1931 to Frank and Anna (Torksdorf) Nowak on the family farm in rural Shawano County.  Chet was the youngest of eight children. Chet’s education began at a grade school in Angelica, which he attended through the 8th grade.  He then attended Pulaski High School and graduated in 1948.  After high school, he went to U.W. Donita “Blondie” Blackbourn, age 63, of Fennimore passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening June 8, 2020 at the Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien. She was born on March 17, 1957 in Maquoketa, Iowa the daughter of Owen and Patricia (Wallace) Bean. Blondie was united in marriage to Tom “Rocky” Blackbourn on June 17, 1983 in Fennimore. Blondie moved to Fennimore from Maquoketa in 1982. She did babysitting in the community for several years until being employed with the Fennimore School District in the food service department.
