Dorothy M. Larson-Harris, age 88, of Platteville formerly of Cobb, WI passed away on Monday October 28, 2019 at Edenbrook of Platteville. She was born on November 8, 1930 in Cobb the daughter of John and Ruth (Ruzicka) Foreman. Dorothy was united in marriage to Marvin Larson on June 16, 1948 and then was married to James Harris on November 14, 1999. Dorothy is survived by her two children; Terry D. Florence H. Plautz, age 100, of Fennimore passed away on Saturday morning October 26, 2019 at the Care and Rehabilitation in Boscobel. She was born on July 25, 1919 in Muscoda the daughter of Frank and Gertrude (Elskamp) Neff. Florence was united in marriage to William Plautz on November 27, 1946 at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Muscoda. Florence worked along side her husband on the farm for many years. They farmed in the Hickory Grove Township until retiring and moving to Fennimore in 1974. Florence then enrolled at the Southwest Technical College and received her Certified Nursing Assistant

Joseph Eckert Jr., age 88, of Fennimore passed away on Saturday October 26, 2019 at the Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore. He was born on May 29, 1931 in Murdo, SD the son of Joseph Sr. and Cleone (Wachter) Eckert. Joe was united in marriage to Mary Ann (Dresen) Olson on January 24, 1970. Joe proudly served in the United States Army from Nov. 12, 1952 until being honorably discharged on Nov. 12, 1954 during the Korean War. Joe was stationed at the White House in Washington D.C. where he was a driver setting up communications for President Eisenhower.

Roger W. Schildgen, age 75, of Glen Haven, WI died on Monday Oct. 21, 2019 at the Grandview Healthcare Center in Oelwein, IA after his courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease. Roger was born on April 25, 1944 in Lancaster the son of Raymond and Stella (Schmit) Schildgen. Knowing each other since 1st grade at St. Mary’s School in Glen Haven, but were not childhood sweet hearts, Roger was united in marriage to Darlene Kirschbaum on July 18, 1964 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Glen Haven. Cheryl B. Budack, age 74, of Stitzer, WI passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019, at her residence with her beloved family by her side. She was born on November 15, 1944, at the Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster the daughter of Jesse and Velma (Hickin) Keller. Cheryl was united in marriage to Wilfred Budack on December 27, 1962, at the Fennimore United Methodist Church in Fennimore. Cheryl was a lifelong residence of Stitzer and served as a PMR and Postmaster for the community, retiring in April of 2010 after 41 years of service. Cheryl was committed to her community.
