Mary Kephart, age 77, of Montfort, passed away on Sunday morning July 29, 2018, at her residence. She was born on July 2, 1941 in Boscobel, WI the daughter of Charles and Clara (Heller) Wieland. Mary was united in marriage to Donald Kephart on Sept. 27, 1958 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Mary grew up on a farm outside Wauzeka and graduated from Wauzeka High School. Ralph Davies, age 59 of Cobb, died on Saturday evening July 28, 2018, at ManorCare in Platteville. Ralph was born on June 13, 1959, in Dodgeville, WI the son of Ralph and Mary (Hatch) Davies. He married Sheila Ginter on Nov. 28, 1982 in Fennimore. After graduating from Fennimore High School, Ralph worked for Kramer Brothers Construction pouring concrete for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, raising animals on the farm and cheering for the Packers. He will always be remembered as a hardworking man who deeply loved his family. Richard W. "Dick" Spoerle

Madison – Richard W. “Dick” Spoerle, age 85, died on Monday, July 23, 2018 at his home in Madison. Richard was born on July 22, 1933 in Montfort, WI the son of Phil and Mae Spoerle. He married Betty Lou Spraggon on Nov. 29, 1958. After graduating from Montfort High School, Dick worked as an optician at Davis Duehr Eye Clinic in Madison for over 30 years and also moonlighted as a bartender at The Congress Bar. Dick, never one for idol hands, was constantly providing helping ones to those around him. He enjoyed taking trips to the dog track

Royce W. Everson

Royce W. Everson, age 88 of Woodman, died on Monday July 16, 2018 at Hillview Healthcare Center in La Crosse, WI. Royce was born on June 25, 1930 in Annaton, WI the son of Wesley and Laura (Witzig) Everson. He married Sharon Dempsey on Feb. 26, 1955 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church. After high school, Royce farmed for a year before entering the U.S. Navy in 1950. He served as a gunner 3rd class aboard the U.S. Taluga during the Korean War, serving a total of 37 months overseas and crossing the ocean 13 times. He was honorably discharged

Janett E. Draggs

Janett E. Draggs, age 73 of Fennimore, passed away on Monday evening July 9, 2018 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society after a courageous six year battle with lung cancer. Janett was born on August 17, 1944 in Fennimore the daughter of Lyle and Mildred (Clark) Cohen. Jan was married on Sept. 21, 1962 to John H. Draggs and together they had two sons; Christopher and Mikel. Jan enjoyed cooking and sewing projects and spending time with family and friends. She also went on numerous mission trips throughout the U.S. including Biloxi, Mississippi, Florida, South Carolina, Hawaii and youth camps
