Russell E. Dressler Sr., age 72, of Bloomington and formerly of Lancaster, died on Sunday evening Jan. 8, 2017, at his residence in Bloomington. Russell was born on Sept. 28, 1944, in Mt. Hope, WI, the son of Leo and Isabelle (Gotzinger) Dressler. He married Sarah “Sally” Giesen on Nov. 12, 1977 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Russell farmed throughout Grant County until 1992. He then worked for Wyalusing Academy and Spahn and Rose Lumber Company in Prairie du Chien. Fennimore, WI – Lawrence “Larry” A. Bierman, age 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening Jan. 4, 2017 at his residence in Fennimore. He was born on Aug. 14, 1943 in Grant Co., WI the son of Henry & Alice (Ploessl) Bierman. He was united in marriage to Rita Chamberlain on July 26, 1969. Following graduation from high school, Larry enlisted in the US Army. He served from Oct. 17, 1962 until being honorably discharged on Oct. 16, 1964, obtaining the rank of Specialist 4. Larry returned home and was employed by the United Parcel Service until retiring from UPS
