Ruth A. Noyes, age 88, of Montfort, died on Sunday morning Jan. 29, 2017, at her residence in Montfort. Ruth was born on Oct. 3, 1928, in Montfort, WI the daughter of Wesley and Anna (Frolik) Washburn. She married Vilas Noyes on June 12, 1948 at the Montfort United Methodist Church. Ruth graduated as valedictorian from Livingston High School in 1946. She then attended Business College in Madison and worked as a bookkeeper at Bancroft Dairy. Grover J. Weber III, age 61, of Cassville, died on Sunday January 22, 2017, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville. Grover was born on Oct. 5, 1955 in Green Bay, WI, the son of Grover Jr. and Helen (Flesch) Weber. He married Linda Bradfield on May 31, 1980 at St. John’s Episcopal Catholic Church in Dubuque, IA. Following graduation from Lancaster High School in 1974, Grover attended Southwest Tech in Fennimore receiving a degree in auto body repair. Marian A. Whitt, age 91, of Fennimore and formerly of Mt. Hope, died on Friday Jan. 20, 2017 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society. Marian was born on Feb. 13, 1925 in Mt. Hope, WI the daughter of Donald and Birdie (Cornell) Goold. She married Lewis Eugene Whitt on Sept. 20, 1945 at the Lancaster United Methodist Church. Marian graduated from Mt. Hope High School. She and her husband Lewis farmed in the Mt. Hope area for several years before moving to Palmer, IA in 1959. Fennimore, WI-Marion C. Bresee passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 20, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was born there 78 years earlier on June 7, 1938, the daughter of Delbert and Caroline (Riley) Russell. She graduated from Livingston High School in 1956 and married her forever sweetheart, Mervin Bresee, on June 30, 1956, at the Primitive Methodist Church in Platteville. Fennimore, WI – Eugene E. Oechsle, age 76, died on Monday morning Jan. 16, 2017 at his residence in Fennimore surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 13, 1940 in Mt. Ida Township Grant Co., WI the son of William and Erika (Zimmermann) Oechsle. Eugene was united in marriage to Eldeen Maag on Oct. 12, 1963.
