Wanda L. Reukauf-Hooks

PLATTEVILLE - Wanda Lee Reukauf-Hooks, age 75, passed away on Saturday morning October 18, 2025, at Upland Hills Health Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dodgeville, WI. She was born on January 10, 1950, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Karl and Edna (Budd) Reukauf. Wanda married John Hooks on September 28, 1968, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore. She and John went their separate ways in 2005.

Wanda graduated from Fennimore High School in 1968 and then attended Southwest Technical College in Fennimore. She and John moved to the Hooks’ family farm in the early 1970’s in Lima Township. On the farm, Wanda enjoyed raising her family and helping on the farm. In 1989, Wanda entered the workforce and went to work in Customer Service at Land’s End in Dodgeville for 22 years until her retirement. In 2012, Wanda moved to Platteville where she had been currently residing.

Wanda loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the holidays and shared her love with her family by making her famous Christmas candies, displaying her beautiful Christmas village, and making stockings for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, quilting, and reading. She loved going on “sister trips” and reminiscing about all the fun. Wanda was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, various knitting groups, and the Joyful Book Club.

Wanda is survived by her two sons; Tom (Molly) Hooks of Mineral Point and Robert (Veronica) Hooks of Platteville, three grandchildren; Remus/Hope (August Eastlick, fiance) Hooks, Arlo/Eliza Hooks and Kaylyn Hooks, siblings; Roger Reukauf of Fond du Lac, Mary Lou Reukauf of Dodgeville, Vicki (Gary) Robinson of Tomahawk, Lois (Dan) Taylor of Beloit, and sister-in-law Beverly Reukauf of Dodgeville.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Royce Reukauf, sister-in-law Thelma Reukauf, and her beloved Miniature Schnauzer Ivan.
