Vickie K. Lee

Vickie Kay Lee, age 64, of Fennimore passed away unexpectedly on Monday afternoon January 6, 2020 at the Gunderson Boscobel Area Health Care in Boscobel. She was born on August 15, 1955 in Denison, TX the daughter of Theron and Alfreda (Aspenson) Lee.

Vickie attended Fennimore High School and then went to work at Advance Transformer in Boscobel for five years. Attending Southwest Technical College and receiving her degree, she went to work for the Grant County Social Services for numerous years. Vickie then worked for Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation in Boscobel until having to retire due to her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Vickie was a very hard worker but her passion in life was being a wonderful mother and an awesome grandmother. She was so proud of John and his accomplishments in sports and life, and loved supporting her grandchildren with all of their activities; her smile showed how proud she was of her family. Vickie also enjoyed supporting Doug and his band, listening to music, dancing, reading a book, and working with her plants outside. She also loved spending family time at the cabin in Bagley and cheering on the Packers and the Badgers. Vickie was soft spoken and kind hearted and her family were truly the pride and joy of her life.  

Vickie is survived by her son John (Shelley) Lee of Fennimore, lifelong partner of 45 years Doug Bachelor of Fennimore, four grandchildren; Kennedy Lee, Jeremy Halverson, Marissa (Jonathan) Yancy, and Brody Lee, six siblings; Rhonda (Jay) Dailey of Albany, Debra (Jeff) Reed of Brooklyn, Bob (Peggy) Lee of Steuben, Lori (Kim) Elmer of Clermont, FL, Tony (Penny Starkey) Lee of Boscobel, Tom (Tracie) Lee of Fennimore, along with several special nieces and nephews.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents Theron and Alfreda Lee, brother Terry Lee and her nephew Tyler Lee.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00-1:00 P.M. on Saturday January 11, 2020 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore with a “Celebration of Life” with food and fellowship to be held immediately following at the BD’s Eagles Nest in Fennimore.
