FENNIMORE – Vicki L. Quincy, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday January 2, 2026, at Dove Healthcare in Fennimore. She was born on March 13, 1943, the daughter of Harold and Marie (Aide) Evans.
Vicki graduated from Lancaster High School in 1961. On April 4, 1970, she married the love of her life, Joseph Quincy, at the Fennimore United Methodist Church. It was at this time that she left her previous work as a CNA to proudly embrace her role as a farmer’s wife. In 1976, Joe and Vicki’s family grew with son, Jordan. Then again in 1981, with Amanda. Vicki wore many hats, both literally and figuratively, on the farm. Whether tending to the calves, being a parts and feed “gopher,” unloading wagons, making sure everyone was fed, or maintaining the lawn, flowers, and home, she didn’t hesitate to lend a hand.
Vicki enjoyed many things in life… chocolate, a classic Western, and travelling with Joe, including a trip to Graceland as well as participating in the Open Air Classic convertible cruise for 10 years and taking Warco bus trips. Vicki always had music on and could often be found humming or singing along. As a member of Fennimore United Methodist Church, Vicki enjoyed participating in the choir for many years as well as teaching Sunday School. Most of all, Vicki loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cherished her family and treasured their time spent together, never turning down an opportunity to spend time with them.
Vicki is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Joe; children, Jordan Quincy and Amanda (Eric) Horsfield; seven grandchildren: Mykala (Derek) Handfelt, Brianna Quincy, Kendall (Tanner Zemke) Quincy, Blake Horsfield, Mason Quincy, Madison Quincy, and Jack Horsfield; and three great grandchildren: Kayson and Kaylee Handfelt, and Zoey Zemke. She is further survived by her brother, Neil (Patricia) Evans and sister-in-law, Nancy Deiter as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father in-law, Bill and Catherine Quincy; sister-in-law, Cora (Richard) Gaddy; and brother-in-law, Merlin Deiter.
The family would like to thank the staff at Dove Healthcare and St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care of Vicki during her time with them.
