Teresa Jean Fry, age 56, of San Tan Valley, AZ, formerly of Lancaster passed away unexpectedly due to complications of Covid-19, on Sunday September 12, 2021. Teresa was born December 25, 1964, in Lancaster, WI, the daughter of Robert and Leila (Laufenberg) Schmitz. She was united in marriage to Greg Fry on February 6, 1997, in Mesa, AZ.
Teresa graduated from Lancaster High School in 1982. She and her family moved to Arizona where she was employed as a warranty clerk for an auto dealership for 25 years. Teresa was currently working for her son Keith and his trucking business as an accountant. She loved her home in Arizona, being outdoors and going for rides throughout the Arizona landscape, walking her dogs, and spending the day shopping. Teresa was a wonderful wife and mother and was a great role model for her children.
Teresa is survived by her husband Greg of San Tan Valley, AZ, two sons Keith Govier of Gold Hill, NC, Kyle Govier of San Tan Valley, AZ and daughter Brittany Fry of San Tan Valley, AZ, Eight siblings; Bonnie (Fred) Maughan of Lancaster, Larry (Linda) Schmitz of Fennimore, Diane (Doug) Haufler of Mineral Point, Betty (Darwin) Pierce of Potosi, Ron (Nancy) Schmitz of Bloomington, Jim Schmitz of Lancaster, Barb (Lynn) Millard of Lancaster, Tim (Charlene) Schmitz of Bloomington, brother-in-law Tony (Cathie) Brendemuehl of Bloomington, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Jane Brendemuehl and her sister-in-law Shelly Schmitz.
A Private Family Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at St. Clement Catholic Church, Lancaster, WI with burial follow in the Hurricane Cemetery in South Lancaster Township, Grant County, WI. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date. The Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore is assisting the family.
