BLOOMINGTON – Sarah “Sally” M. Dressler, age 77, passed away on February 26, 2025, at Lancaster Health Services. She was born on October 10, 1947, in Lancaster, the daughter of Thomas Sr. and Letha (Martin) Giesen.
Sarah attended Lancaster High School and married Donald Mullikin on June 5, 1965, at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. They moved to Janesville, where she enjoyed being a homemaker and loved raising her three children. After deciding to go their separate ways, Sarah returned to the area and married Russell Dressler on Nov. 12, 1977, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Together, Sarah and Russell farmed in the Bagley area for many years.
Once their farming days were over, Sarah worked at Rapid Die in Cassville and Loudspeaker Components in Lancaster before settling into her final job with Homeward Bound. She spent many fulfilling years there and truly loved the work she did. Sarah was a simple lady who loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, and spending time with her animals.
Sarah is survived by her children: Lisa (Bob) Klocke of Lancaster, Donnie Mullikin of Janesville, Stacey (Michael) Doyle of Lancaster, and Brenda (Ben) Davies of McGregor, IA; step children: Greg (Abby) Dressler of Dodgeville, Kay (Kevin) Bausch of Cassville, and Christine Dresser of Steuben; 11 grandchildren: Kylie, Kayla, Ashley, Bobbi, Samantha, Chrystal, Brittany, Dylan, Tamara, Hailey, and Jonathan, along with several special great grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings: Judy Conley, Tom Giesen, Tim (Sara) Giesen, Jackie (Denny) Ellingson, and many nieces and nephews.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell Dressler Sr., son Russel Dressler Jr., grandson Tyler Dressler, and granddaughter Kelsey Dressler.
