Robert "Bob" D. Andrews

Bob AndrewsFennimore, WI-Robert “Bob” D. Andrews, age 78 died on Saturday morning Aug. 23, 2014 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA. Bob was born on Feb. 19, 1936 in Patch Grove the son of Harry and Evelyn (Fullbright) Andrews. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Welsh on June 26, 1955 in Boscobel.

Bob graduated from Boscobel High School and went to work driving a route for Sunbeam. He was then employed at John Deere of Dubuque as a machinist for 30 years until his retirement in 1991. Bob Andrews truly enjoyed life. He adored his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bob loved traveling to various places especially going to Las Vegas, and his annual fishing trip to Hayward. He also liked cooking, playing cards, golfing, family reunions, scratch offs, and was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. Bob was a contributor to St. Jude’s, various Veteran programs and the Humane Society. He was blessed with a great smile and a wonderful sense of humor that will be deeply cherished for many years to come.

Robert is survived by his wife; Charlotte of Fennimore, 9 children; Mark (Charlene) Andrews of McFarland, Kim (Dick) McCullick of Prairie du Chien, Julie (Jim) Baumgartner of Fennimore, Dawn (Gene) Ehlinger of Prairie du Chien, Darcy (Tim) Slack of Fennimore, Robin (Dave) Hammes of Beloit, Scott (Melinda Haskins) Andrews of Fennimore, Jeff (Tilly Ziegler) Andrews of Sauk Prairie, Dana (Scott) Engel of Fredonia, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, sisters Susie (Wayne) Roth of Dubuque, IA, Becky (Jim) Keating of Sanbornville, NH, Greta (Jerry) Lane of Rogers, AR, and aunts and a uncle; Doris Pitts of Platteville, Don (Niki) Fullbright of Albuquerque, NM along with several special nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Funerals services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday afternoon on Aug. 27, 2014 at Fennimore United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore. Visitation will be held from 3-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday afternoon Aug. 26, 2014 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church and from 4:00 P.M. until time of service on Wednesday.
