Sun Prairie, WI-Rita M. Kuchar, age 80 passed away on Saturday March 9, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare in Madison. Rita was born on Feb. 22, 1933 in Hickory Grove Township Grant Co., WI the daughter of Carl & Teresa (Schueharte) Kretschman. She was united in marriage to Wencle Kuchar on Oct. 27, 1959 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore.
Rita’s life revolved around her family and her faith. She was truly dedicated to being a wonderful wife, mother, sister and servant to her dear Lord. She was a genuine woman with a wonderful sense of humor that was adored by everyone she met. Rita enjoyed baking, gardening, working in her flowerbeds, and being surrounded by her family.
Rita is survived by her son; Gary Kuchar of Sun Prairie, two sisters; Rosemary Waltz of Boscobel, Joan (Bernard) Fiedler of Lancaster, two brothers; Carl (Julie) Kretschman and Jim (Rosalie) Kretschman both of Fennimore along with several special nieces and nephews.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wencle on Jan. 30, 1992, sister Eileen Holzer, brother Bernard Kretschman, sister-in-law Rita Kretschman, and brother-in-laws; Joe Waltz and Donald Holzer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday March 15, 2013 at the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church in Sun Prairie with burial in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Fennimore. Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Friday morning. The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family.
