Reggie Ray Reynolds, 73, of Mount Hope, formerly of Fennimore, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster, surrounded by his family. Reggie was born March 29, 1948, to Raymond and Ilyf (Kennedy) Reynolds in Dodgeville, WI. He graduated from Boscobel High School in 1966 and married the love of his life, Patricia Preston, on October 6, 1973. They had just celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary. They were blessed with two boys; Preston (Virginia) and Tyler (Amy), as well as four grandchildren; Payton, Jaxson, Lyla, and Emma. He was a proud grandpa and would beam whenever he talked about or saw them. They were the highlight of his day.
Reggie was a hard worker and spent his life working with his dad and brothers in various construction and excavating businesses. In 2006 he purchased the Cottonwood Sports Bar & Supper Club with his wife where he enjoyed visiting with customers.
Reggie was a kindhearted soul who would help others in need. Many thought of him as a second dad. Reggie liked to stay busy and could often be found doing various projects on the farm, driving dump truck or babysitting. Reggie continued to show his generosity in death by being an organ and tissue donor.
Reggie is survived by his wife Patricia, sons: Preston and Tyler and their families all of Fennimore, his mother, Ilyf Reynolds, three brothers: Ryan (Glenda) Reynolds, Todd (Donna) Reynolds, Kevin Reynolds and sister, Kalynn (Marvin) Bolchen all of Boscobel, sister and brother-in-laws: Laurie (Greg) McDowell of Marshall, MN and Judy Bevan (Stan Abing) of Cuba City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Reynolds, sister, Ronda Bloyer and father and mother-in-law, Quentin and Lorraine Preston.
