Pauline M. Pitzen, age 74, of Lancaster, WI passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on September 18, 1947. Pauline graduated from Potosi High School and then was united in marriage to James “Jim” Pitzen on October 23, 1965, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Potosi.
In her younger years, Pauline loved being at home raising her children. She was involved throughout their years and was also very active with the area 4-H groups. Pauline loved children and babysat for numerous families in the community. Pauline felt very blessed with the arrival of her grandchildren. Later in life, she became a Certified Nurses Aide and enjoyed assisting individuals with their needs. Pauline was a past Superintendent for the Grant County Fair where she served for many years. She was a dedicated member of the St. Clement Catholic Church and helped with numerous church picnics and festivals. Her gentle soul and wonderful compassion for family and friends will be greatly missed. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Grant Regional Health Center for the exceptional care given to Pauline.
Pauline is survived by her beloved husband Jim, five children and 11 grandchildren: Betty (Donald) Morshead and their children Megan and Payton, Bonnie (Brian) Crapp and their children Taylor, Desmond, and Ian, Steve (Katy) Pitzen and their children Samantha and Avery, Jamie (Missy) Pitzen and their children Kaylen and Sierra, and Brittney (Luke) Moerer and their children Scarlett and Cameron.
Due to the current pandemic and wanting to ensure the safety of others, a Private Memorial Service, for immediate family, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday morning October 5, 2021, at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore. Burial of the cremated remains will be held at a later date. Cards of sympathy may be mailed to the funeral home at 925 10th St. Fennimore, WI 53809.
