Paul E. Biddick, age 84, died on Sunday evening April 2, 2017, at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore. Paul was born on Feb. 20, 1933 in Livingston the son of Willard and Marie (Brechler) Biddick. He was united in marriage to Lila Budack on July 24, 1953.
Paul graduated from Livingston High School in 1951. Soon after, he began farming south of Preston where he remained until retiring and selling the farm in 1998. Paul and Lila then built a house near the farm where they lived until eventually moving into Fennimore in the spring of 2014. Paul enjoyed taking an annual fishing trip to Pine River Minnesota. He stayed very active playing softball into his 50’s and was one of the founders of the slow-pitch softball league in the Fennimore area. Paul also was very supportive of his children and grandchildren, attending all of their athletic events and other activities.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife Lila Biddick of Fennimore, four children; Debra (Steven) Pittz of Lone Rock, Donald (Barb) Biddick of Stitzer, Douglas (Diane) Biddick of Peosta, IA and Dennis (Lisa) Biddick of Fennimore, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sister Carol Woodruff of Minneapolis, brother Gary (Mary) Biddick of Fennimore and brother-in-laws Wilfred (Cheryl) Budack of Stitzer and Ernell Budack of Lancaster.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Kristin Pittz, brother Royce (Marion) Biddick, two infant brothers, brother-in-law Lee Woodruff; sister-in-laws, Linda Budack, Wilma (Bill) McCormick and Ruth Bendorf.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday April 7, 2017, at Rock Church Cemetery in rural Livingston. Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 P.M. on Thursday evening April 6, 2017, at Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore.
