Patricia “Pat” A. Jones

MONTOFRT - Patricia Ann “Pat” Jones, age 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday morning October 1, 2025, at her residence. She was born on January 7, 1941, in Dodgeville, the daughter of Francis and Blanche (Nechvatal) Wienkers. Pat was united in marriage to Dale Jones on November 26, 1960, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montfort.

Pat graduated from Montfort High School and then attended Beauty School in Madison where she received her degree. She worked as a beautician in Mineral Point for a few years as she and Dale raised their family. Pat gave up this career to raise her family and to lend a helping hand on the farm. Becoming a self-taught seamstress, Pat began working at Land’s End in Dodgeville until retiring after 25 years. She continued her passion for making clothes and became well known for her Doll Clothes. She made so many little girls happy throughout Southwest Wisconsin with her many outfits she made for their dolls. Pat’s basement became a doll clothing manufacturing plant over the years.

Pat adored her family and was always planning family get-togethers and every Sunday was spent with family and friends.   She was instrumental with the planning of the Wienkers family reunions. In her quiet time, Pat enjoyed sitting down to a good book. She loved her Lord and was an active member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church and the Catholic Church Women, along with being a very proud member of the loved and cherished group called the “Winettes”. Pat will be remembered for putting others first and had a heart to help others.

Pat is survived by her three children; Jeff (Dawn) Jones of Anderson, CA, Rick (Suzanne) Jones of Mineral Point, and Sherry (Dennis) Sandvig of Kennewick, WA, five grandchildren: Clara Jones, Trevor Jones, Chase (Lydia) Jones, Garrison (Kaitlyn) Jones, Levi Marie Jones, and three great-granddaughters; Rio, Sadie, and Charlotte Jones, three siblings; Joe (Marianne) Wienkers of Las Vegas, NV, Pauline Gay of Monona, and Kevin (Cindy) Wienkers of Green Bay, along with many special in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Mary Jean, husband Dale Jones on December 9, 2011, four siblings: Chuck Wienkers, Karen Latham, Marilyn Hoffman, and Jerry Wienkers.

Directly following the Memorial Mass, Pat's family invites everyone to join them for food and fellowship on the church hall.
