Myra M. Hill

myra-hillFennimore, formerly of Stitzer, WI-Myra M. Hill, age 96, died on Friday morning Dec. 16, 2016 at Fennimore Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore. She was born on Dec. 25, 1919 in Montfort the daughter of William Sr. and Sarah (Galin) Kennedy. Myra was united in marriage to Carlos W. Hill on Aug. 29, 1940 in Waukon, IA.

Myra did seasonal work for the Cobb Canning factory and worked for the Clerk of Courts in Lancaster for a brief time. Her love in life was her devotion to her husband, helping on the farm, and being dedicated to raising her family. Myra enjoyed helping her children with 4-H projects, crocheting, gardening, and getting together with neighbors to play cards. Myra was an active member of the Montfort United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star, Grant Co. Coalition for Aging, and also served on the Grant Co. Board. Myra’s passion for her family and her wonderful personality will be deeply missed.

Myra is survived by her two children; Jacqueline (Donald) Pasold and Sharon Rust both of Middleton, 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Virginia Kenny of Berwyn, PA along with several special nieces and nephews.

Myra was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carlos on Feb. 4, 1993, daughter and son-in-law Dixie and Jon “Roger” Howell, two grandchildren; Donald Pasold Jr. and Scot Howell, two great grandchildren; Hayden Pasold and Chase Conners, two brothers; William Kennedy Jr. and Aldrow Galin, and three brother-in-laws; Eldon and Virgil Hill and Ray Kenny.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday Dec. 21, 2016 at the Montfort United Methodist Church in Montfort with burial to follow in the Rock Church Cemetery, rural Livingston. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Wednesday morning. In lieu of plants and flowers a memorial fund is being established in loving memory of Myra Hill. The Soman-Larson Funeral Home of Montfort is assisting the family.
