Matthew Marvin Niebuhr, age 31, of Livingston, WI passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Saturday morning August 13, 2022, at his residence. He was born on October 1, 1990, in Rockford, IL, the son of William Niebuhr Jr. and Melody Evert.
Matthew was your typical boy growing up. He enjoyed hanging with his friends and playing sports which, he especially loved playing high school football. He graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 2009 and then entered the work force. He quickly became a dependable and favorite familiar face at Gowdy’s in Montfort. Matthew later began working at Tower Junction until his untimely passing. Matthew always welcomed everyone with his big smile. He loved being around people and striking up conversations. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed being outdoors and going fishing, along with playing golf. He also loved his Chicago Bears. Matthew will be remembered as being “One of the Best Friends” one could ask for, his infectious smile and caring nature. He will be deeply missed by all who knew Matthew.
Matthew is survived by his Mother Melody Evert, “G Ma” Loretta Evert, Uncle Mark Evert and Cousins Sterling (Jasmine) Evert and Tori Jo (Timmy) Evert, Father William Jr. (Deb) Niebuhr, Grandparents William “Bill” and Helene Niebuhr, Aunt Michele (Doug) Peacock, Stepsisters Michelle Murray (Kevin) and Megan Staley (Ricky), along with his special bonds with Dan (Kelsi) Mellum, Ivy and Kruz, and Bob (Dawn) Haase.
Matthew was preceded in death by his Grandfather Marvin Evert.
Visitation
Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday evening.
Memorial Services
A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday evening August 19, 2022, at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort with burial to be held at a later date in the Prairie Mound Cemetery in Oregon, WI.
Celebration of Life
There will be “A Celebration of Life” in Honor of Matthew Marvin Niebuhr to be held at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday October 2, 2022, at the Tower Junction in Montfort.
