FENNIMORE – Maria J. Moreno Cachorro, age 48, of Fennimore, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 27, 1973, the daughter of Jose Moreno and Maria Cachorro, in Venezuela. Maria relocated to the United States in 1999. She attended Southwest Tech for her education. She had a strong work ethic. On August 28, 2021, Maria was united in marriage to her life partner Michael Fillner. Together they own and operate Napps Motel in Fennimore. She dearly loved spending time with her family. Maria enjoyed crafts, decorating, and the beach.
Survivors include her life partner, Michael Fillner; her children: Serena (Nick) Henkel; Elizabeth Gladden; Isabela Cauffman; Walter Cauffman; Eva Maria Fillner Moreno; her mother and stepfather, Maria (Pedro) Palla; her siblings: Adelaida (Dani) Moto; Roberto (Laura) Palla; Maria Laura Moreno; her grand fur babies: Ruger, Pistol, and Remington; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Maria’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Napps Motel in Fennimore. The Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore is assisting the family.
