Marcella A. Delkamp

Marcella A. Delkamp, age 96, of Fennimore formerly of Montfort, passed away on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore. She was born on August 6, 1922, the daughter of John & Nora (Nowak) Yanna. Marcella was united in marriage to William Delkamp on Nov. 26, 1940.

Marcella worked at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society for 15 years until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and canning. Marcella was an active member at St. John’s Catholic Church along with the church Sodality, and loved volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul of Muscoda for many years. She was a wonderful mother who adored her family and was a pure joy to be around.

Marcella is survived by her four children; Robert Delkamp of Montfort, Gary (Sandy) Delkamp of Rogersville, TN, William (Cindy) Delkamp of Zimmerman, MN, Beverly (Michael) Gerken of Rogersville, TN, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, three sister-in-laws; June Yanna of Muscoda, Alice Yanna of Muscoda, and Catherine Frye of Madison, along with several special nieces and nephews.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, husband William on April 27, 1995, grandson Michael “Mick” Schneider, three brothers; Henry, John, and Arnold Yanna, four sisters; Gertrude Weichmann, Dorothy Minter, Eleanor Whitish, Lorraine Alderson, and an infant sister Mary Alice Yanna. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday July 6, 2019 at the St. John Nepomuc Catholic Church in Castle Rock Township Grant County, Wisconsin with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 P.M. on Friday July 5, 2019 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort where a Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M. Friday evening. Visitation will also be held from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home on Saturday morning.
