STITZER – Lucinda “Cindy” Ann Carl, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 15, 2026. She was born April 25, 1951, in Dodgeville, the daughter of Charles and LaVerne (Heacock) Ley. Cindy was united in marriage to Mike Carl on August 26, 1972.
Cindy was employed at Advance Transformer for 32 years and another 7 years at Rural Route 1 Popcorn before retiring. For 30 years Cindy was a dedicated member of the Stitzer Sportsman’s Club. She catered to everyone that frequented the club, especially the kids. She made it a priority to make everyone feel welcome.
Cindy loved her family deeply and everything she did was for them. It was her life’s work to take care of them, and she treasured that time greatly.
Cindy will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Mike; her children, Candi (David) Schmid of Argyle and Todd (Jackie) Carl of Dickeyville; her beloved grandchildren, Hollie (Ben) Schmitt, Mason Reuter, Maddison and Brycen Carl; her brothers Mike (Sandy) Ley, Charles Ley and Dan (Anna) Ley; her in-laws Penny Ley, Joyce Ley, Cora Ley, Beverly Carl, Collen Carl, Barb (Ron) Larson, Rita (Vince) Lease, Marvin (Tina) Carl, Mitch (Darlene) Carl and Michele Carl.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; her in-laws Leonard and Marian Carl; her brothers Arthur, Ron and Kenny Ley; her sister JoAnne Hopper; in-laws Malcolm, Marlin, Lavonne and Janet Carl.
