Rewey/Livingston, WI-Loretta B. (Burgess) Munson, age 79, was called home to our Lord on Thursday July 9, 2015. She was born on Aug. 8, 1935 in Bagley. She worked at Advance Transformer in Platteville for 23 years while always maintaining and nurturing her beloved family, yet others knew her as a second mother. She also enjoyed working on puzzles, crosswords, reading, playing games, cribbage, fishing, gambling, and eating exotic foods. Loretta was an awesome bread maker and loved keeping in touch with her friends by Facebook. Her gentle love and kindness for others, explosive laughter and beautiful smile will linger with us forever knowing she loved life and lived every day to its fullest.
Loretta is survived by her four children; Frank (Bonnie Schouten) Munson of Lone Rock, Robert (Penny) Munson of Oregon, Ralph (Lori) Munson of Albany, Wendy (Ken) Jaworek of Madison, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, three sisters; Eunice (Frank) Naeger of Rewey, Clara Rooney of Loves Park, IL, Sarah McVay of Rewey, three brothers; Ralph (Connie) Myers of East Dubuque, IL, Randy (Chandra) Burgess of CA, and Brian (Bev) Galvin of FL.
Loretta was preceded in death by an infant child, two husbands; Wallace Baures and Wendell Munson, Son Richard Munson, parents Ralph and Lula Myers, brother LaVern Myers, three sisters; Linda Gericke, Sue Priebe, Lottie Fisher, and special companion Francis Bollant.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday July 14, 2015 at the Livingston United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Rock Church Cemetery rural Livingston. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Monday July 13, 2015 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Tuesday morning.
