Kenneth R. Goodman

Kenneth R. Goodman, age 56, of Fennimore passed away on Wednesday Jan. 23, 2013 at UW-Hospital in Madison.  Ken was born on March 12, 1956 in Albuquerque, New Mexico the son of Edgar and Myrtle (Estes) Goodman.  He married Susan Napp on Oct. 5, 1985.

Ken grew up in New Mexico where he drove truck for a living. He moved to the Fennimore area in 1993 and continued driving truck for Sunkiss’d Trucking until having to retire due to his declining health. Ken was a very hard worker and took great pride in having the cleanest truck in the fleet. He adored his family and his grandchildren enlightened each day. Ken enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, listening to older country music, and reading his Bible. He was a man of strong faith that cherished his family and will be deeply missed.

Ken is survived by his wife Susan of Fennimore, 6 children; Matthew (Samantha) Goodman of Fennimore, Michelle (Jacob) Yager of Lancaster, Edward (Chelsea Kaiser-Mecozzi) Goodman of Madison, and Becky, Robert, and Katelyn Goodman, all of Fennimore, 4 grandchildren; Maelee Holman, Vannah Yager, and Monica and Bradly Goodman, and a brother Brian “Lee” (Barbara) Goodman of Bernalillo, NM.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sandra Fisher, and mother-in-law Sandra Witzig.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday Jan. 29, 2013 at the Bethany Alliance Church in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Stitzer United Methodist Church Cemetery in Liberty Township, Grant Co., WI.  Friends may call from 5-7:00 P.M. on Monday Jan. 28, 2013 at the Larson Family funeral home in Fennimore and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday morning.
