Joyce M. Kirschbaum, age 82, of Fennimore passed away on Tuesday morning September 3, 2019 at U.W. Hospital in Madison. She was born on August 29, 1937 in Fennimore the daughter of Wilbur and Alice (Whitish) Colson. Joyce was united in marriage to Raymond “Jerry” Kirschbaum on February 10, 1955 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore.
Being from a large family and always being there for her family, she continued her caring ways babysitting for many families throughout the community. She babysat children for over 45 years. She dedicated herself to the needs of her family and friends and always put others before hers. She was a very hard worker and an awesome caregiver to anyone in need. Joyce loved cooking, baking, and working in her flower gardens. Her passion for taking care of others and her love for her whole family will forever be cherished.
Joyce is survived by her two daughters; Cindy (John) Dalberg of Richland Center and Lorie (Don) Kreyer of Fennimore, daughter-in-law Susan Kirschbaum of Boscobel, eight grandchildren; Nick, Noah, and Phil Kirschbaum, Shane and Cody Alvarado, Tyler Kirschbaum, Lance and Alex Kreyer, six siblings; Annabelle (Bruce) Schaal, Merle (Carol) Colson, Royce Colson, David (Cheryl) Colson, Paul Colson, Patricia Hill, Paulette Friederick, sister-in-law Ruth Colson, brother-in-law Jeff Ames, along with several special nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond on April 28, 2017, son Jerry Kirschbaum, siblings; Elaine Colson, Gerald Colson, William Colson, Linda Ames, Joann Hugill, Kim Colson, Betty Colson, brother-in-laws; Bill Hugill and Bill Hill, sister-in-laws; Patsy Colson, Beverly Colson, and Shirley Colson.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday September 9, 2019 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church in Fennimore with burial to be held at a later date in the Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the Church on Monday morning. The Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore is assisting the family.
