FENNIMORE – Glenda Marie (Dietzman)Holzer, age 72, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Divine Nursing & Rehabilitation in Fennimore. She was born on March 1, 1951; the daughter of Glenn and Evelyn (Chandler) Dietzman. She graduated from Iowa-Grant High school in 1969 and went on to obtain certificates as a Certified Nursing Assistant and daycare provider. On June 28, 1969, Glenda was united in marriage to Frederick Holzer.
Glenda’s favorite season was county fair time. She loved participating in fair events not only as an exhibitor, but also as a superintendent and licensed judge. She enjoyed conjuring up all her favorite projects. They included various arts and crafts, canning, quilting, sewing, and baking, just to name a few! Glenda loved spending every moment she could with her family. Her kind, playful spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Glenda is survived by her loving husband, Frederick; 6 children: Vertice (Mari) Holzer, Sheila (Dale) Linneman, Glenn (Gwen) Holzer, Emily (Richard) Oxnem, Mikel Holzer, and Rosie (Dave) Watson; 12 grandchildren: Chandler (Megan) Linneman, Sonja (Eric) Shaben, Ashton (Danielle) Linneman, Sydney, (Greg) Klais, Weston Linneman, Shawna (Joshua) Taber, Cutler (Shae Crary) Linneman, Wyatt, Morgan, Charity, and Kallie Oxnem, and Maverick Voigts; 11 great grandchildren: Grayson, Quinton, Addison, Brea, Ariana, Ben, Chloe, Channing, Alexis, Kelly, and Holden; so many friends she met along the way at quilting shops, county and local fairs, O’Kane’ Truck Stop; and many Amish community friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Evelyn; parents in-law, Vernon and Jean Holzer; grandparents; aunts and uncles; and two cousins.
Visitation
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
Funeral Services
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore.
Burial Services
Burial will be in Rock Church Cemetery in rural Livingston.
