Dorothy M. Sanger, age 87, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday August 14, 2020 at the U.W. Hospital and Clinics in Madison. She was born on June 4, 1933 the daughter of Adam and Mabel (Heberlein) Zart.
Dorothy graduated from Fennimore High School and then was united in marriage to Robert “Archie” Sanger on August 20, 1954. She began working as a secretary-bookkeeper for the Grant County Extension Office. Dorothy also worked for Selective Service, the Clerk of Courts, and the Sunrise Valley Apartment complex. Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her husband, through his work, and was able to visit many places in the United States.
Dorothy is survived by her son Todd (Lisa) Sanger of Lancaster, three grandchildren; Kyle, Chloe, and Kayla Sanger, sister-in-law Sandy Zart, along with many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband “Archie”, son Timothy Sanger, five brothers; Karl (Rose) Zart, Robert (Norma) Zart, Frank (June) Zart, Walter (Norma) Zart, and William Zart, and her sister Eva (Clarence) Fish.
A public graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday afternoon August 22, 2020 at the St. Pauls’ Liberty Ridge Cemetery in Liberty Township Grant Co., WI.
