Fennimore, WI-Daisey Mae Vogel, age 94 died on Monday morning Feb. 4, 2013 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore. Daisey was born on Oct. 1, 1918 in Fennimore the daughter of Lewis & Pearl (Fry) Howell.
Daisey was united in marriage to Hubert Collins and farmed in Mt Ida Township until his untimely death. She then married Werner Vogel and moved to Fennimore. Being soft spoken and having a generous heart made Daisey’s life as a homemaker very fulfilling. She enjoyed nurturing her children, cooking, canning, sewing, quilting and embroidering. Daisey also enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and going to movies with her family. She was a devoted member of the Fennimore United Methodist Church. Daisey’s hard work ethic throughout her years and her willingness to make the best of each day will always be remembered.
Daisey is survived by her daughter LaVon (Gerald) Bollant of Fennimore; eight grandchildren; Diane Bollant of Belleville, Michael (Kerry) Bollant of Dane, Patrick Bollant of Waunakee, Brenda (Joe) Pease of Fennimore, Julie (Pat) Roper of Belleville, Kelly Collins of Madison, Sara (Robert) Doran of Blanchardville, and Chad (Lisa) Collins of New Glarus; ten great grandchildren; Kyle, Cole, Brandon, and Garrette Bollant, Nick, Chris, and Samantha Pease, Nora Roper, Taylor Collins and Devon Doran along with several nieces and nephews.
Daisey was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Hubert Collins and Werner Vogel, son; William Collins, eight siblings; Harry, Albert, Lester, William “Bill”, Sidney, Glenn, and Cecil Howell, and a sister Hazel Vogel
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday Feb. 6, 2013 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church in Fennimore with burial to follow in the St. Lawrence O’tolle Church Cemetery in Mt Hope Township Grand Co., WI. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Wednesday morning. The Larson Family Funeral Home is assisting the family.
