Brian Lee Kreul

LANCASTER – Brian Lee Kreul, age 48, passed away at home on Saturday morning, August 12, 2023, due to an autoimmune condition.  He was born on March 1, 1975, in Lancaster; the son of Harry and Carol (Lenz) Kreul. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Jamie Crawford on September 7, 1996, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore.

Brian graduated from Fennimore High School in the class of 1993. He participated in football, basketball, and baseball. He had a burning fire to compete and was very instrumental in the 1992 Fennimore high school football success and achieving the state semi-final game. After graduation, Brian worked on the family farm for a few years. Not always feeling well since his later teens, Brian was diagnosed with Common Variable Immunodeficiency. Learning to live with his condition, he was employed at Milprint in Lancaster for 20 years. He then took a position as a supply chain manager with Energizer in Fennimore for six years until having to retire due to his declining health.

Brian passed his passion for athletics on to his children and was their number one fan. He coached Lancaster youth soccer, football, and baseball. He was the perfect mix for helping kids achieve their goals. He always wanted the best for the kids of Lancaster. Brian will be remembered for that quick joke, big smile, and his huge heart dedicated to his family and community.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife Jamie; two sons, Quinten Kreul (Maddie Rand) and Cole Kreul (Madison Straka); parents, Harry and Carol Kreul; brother, Rick Kreul; sister, Tari Kreul; and many special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brian was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Ann Kreul and maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Barbara Lenz.
