Betty Mae MacMillan, age 78, of Montfort, died on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Betty was born on August 26, 1937 in Flint, MI the daughter of Merritt and Beatrice (Reid) Viele. She married Vernon MacMillan in Flint, MI.
Betty was raised in Flint Michigan and earned a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan. After she and Vernon were married, they lived in New York for several years and Betty taught school. In 1965, Betty and Vernon moved to San Jose California where they raised their family. Betty and Vernon continued living in California until moving to Montfort in 2005. Betty enjoyed gardening, traveling, and visiting with her friends in Montfort.
Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David MacMillan and Rollande Krandall of Mineral Point, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon in 2012 and son Mark in 1987.
Burial of the cremains will be held and Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to:
