Benita M. “Bonnie” Davies, age 60, of Lancaster formerly of Fennimore died on Saturday evening Sept. 8, 2018 at the Orchard Manor in Lancaster. She was born on May 12, 1958 in Dodgeville the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Hach) Davies.
Bonnie graduated from Fennimore High School in 1976. She went to work as a cook at Orchard Manor until enrolling at Southwest Technical College in the Culinary Arts program. Bonnie received her degree in 2000 and she and her sister went into business together opening the Family Affair Restaurant in Lancaster until having to retire due to her declining health. Bonnie moved to Pennsylvania for three years until moving back to Fennimore to be closer to family. She loved baking and cooking, was excellent at crocheting, and enjoyed reading and working on design books.
Benita is survived by her son Jim Udelhoven of Baraboo, sister Vicky (Kevin) Graf of Dodgeville, brother Pete (Chris) Davies of Sherrill, IA, and a sister-in-law Sheila Davies of Cobb.
Benita was preceded in death by her parents, brother-Ralph Davies Jr., and a nephew Kevin Graf.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday afternoon Sept. 14, 2018 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore where a visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial of the cremated remains will be held at a later date in the St. Paul’s United Church on Christ Church Cemetery in Liberty Ridge Township Grant Co., WI.
