Anna C. Spraggon, age 98, of Fennimore, WI passed away on Saturday February 26, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on February 24, 1924, in Montfort, WI the daughter of Clement and Rosie (Kumzak) Dicka. Anna was united in marriage to Charles Spraggon on September 15, 1943, in Montfort and spent 67 years together.
Anna graduated from Montfort High School in 1943 and was later employed at the Parker Pen Company. Anna was a dedicated homemaker and treasured every moment with the children. She was an incredible cook and enjoyed growing flowers and had a true green thumb for Poinsettias, African Violets, and Cactus. Anna looked forward to a good game of cards, especially 500, pinochle and euchre, going for car rides, shopping, and walks in the country and in town. She was a woman who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and was very proud to be able to speak four different languages. Anna was a devoted member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the St. Anne’s Sodality. She dedicated every day to her Lord and Savior in a time of prayer.
Anna is survived by her six children: son Clem Spraggon and his wife Kathy of Fennimore, daughter Wanda Spraggon of LaCrosse, daughter Mary Edge and husband Dave of Fennimore, daughter Jean Curtis of Anchorage, AK, son Mark Spraggon and his girlfriend Alvena Wohland of Fennimore, and son Chuck Spraggon and his wife Alexcia of Missouri City, TX. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; Joe, Becky, John, TC, Dee, Desi, Kyle, Kane, Klint, and Cierra, 19 great grandchildren, and two sisters; Mary (Jerry) Zyskowski of Seattle, WA, Martha (Rick) Clark of Fanning Springs, FL, and sister-in-law Phyllis Dicka of Sayner, WI.
Anna was preceded death by her parents, husband Charles, sister Mildred Fisher, and brother Joseph Dicka.
A private funeral services will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
