Doris Elaine Klein, age 82, of Livingston, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI. Doris was born October 18, 1939, in Mount Idea the daughter of Maurice and Sadie (Schnitzler) Pierce.
In her earlier years, Doris was employed at area nursing homes working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was later employed at area factories until going to work at Lands’ End in Dodgeville until her retirement. Doris enjoyed crafting, collecting snowmen, and was an avid reader. She loved to cheer on the Green Bay Packers and was a huge Alan Jackson fan. Doris also cherished her special friendships with Joyce, Vickie, and Debi. She also appreciated the wonderful care that she received by the staff at Meriter Hospital in her time of need.
Doris is survived by her children: Luke (Kim) Klein, Rick (Charine) Klein, Jeanette (Chad) Hederer, Ellie (Mark) Schmidt, Kathy (Shane) Sedlmayr several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers Marion and Bob Pierce, and sisters Wilma Landon, Charlotte Burton and June Gallman.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Albert, Orval and Charles Pierce, sisters: Selma Jamison, Chris Dilley and Shirley Edge and her beloved dog Peanut.
Honoring the request of Doris, a private family graveside service will be held at the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro, WI. The Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort is assisting the family and cards of sympathy may be sent here at 203 W. Grant St. Montfort, WI 53569.
