Elenora M. Puckett, age 93, passed away on Saturday morning August 21, 2021, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing Services in Fennimore. She was born on July 20, 1928, in Milwaukee, the daughter of William and Grace (Schoville) Young. Elenora was united in marriage to Harold Puckett on May 4, 1945, in Prairie du Chien.
Elenora took extraordinary pride in being a dedicated grandmother, a wonderful friend to many along with putting a smile on one's face with her quick wit.
Elenora is survived by her three children: Bruce Puckett of Soldiers Grove, Donna (Mohamed) El Asawi of Rockford, IL, and Louanne (Robert) Atkinson of Steuben, 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, along with many special Mezera, Puckett, and Young nieces and nephews.
Elenora was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold in 1981, son Harold “Butch” Puckett, grandson Chad Gutowsky, daughter-in-law Evelyn Puckett, and two brothers Clyde and Hank Young.
Honoring the request of Elenora, there will be no formal memorial service held in her honor. She will be laid to rest in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorials may be given in loving memory of Elenora to the Boscobel Fire Department or the Boscobel Rescue Squad.
