Thomas David Haley, age 70, of Platteville, WI passed away on Wednesday March 24, 2021 at Edenbrook in Platteville. He was born on March 10, 1951 in LaCrosse the son of Samuel and Shirley (Fuller) Haley. He was united in marriage to Aleshia Haufler Kreul on June 2, 1996.
Tom enlisted in the United States Army and served for over 19 years. He was very proud of his rank as Lieutenant Colonel. After his honorable discharge, he returned back to the United States and got involved in education. He put his leadership skills to work, and served many school districts as Principal and Superintendent. Tom always went above and beyond for his fellow staff, and students.
Tom is survived by his wife Aleshia Haley of Platteville, two children and four step-children, his 10 grandchildren, along with his mother-in-law Rose Haufler of Montfort, brother and sister-in-laws; Tamra (Kirk) Hall of Onalaska, Douglas (Diane) Haufler of Mineral Point, and Darrel (Deborah) Haufler of Raleigh, NC.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law Theron “Doc” Haufler.
