Kenneth D. Kauffman, age 83, of Fennimore passed away on Saturday November 28, 2020 at his residence in Fennimore with his family by his side. He was born on January 29, 1937 in Lancaster the son of John and Opal (Miller) Kauffman. Kenny was united in marriage to Annabelle Elliott on November 28, 1959 in Boscobel.
Kenny was employed at John Deere in Dubuque for 30 years. After he retired and still wanting to keep busy, he delivered the Shopping News and the Sunday issue of the Wisconsin State Journal for many years along with being a courier for the American Bank of Fennimore. Kenny was an avid sports fan and loved his Packers and Brewers. When not cheering on his teams, he would be found outside working in his yard, golfing, or hunting. He cherished his time spent with family and loved the many memories that were made at their cabin in Hatfield. Being around Kenny was an absolute joy; he would light up the room with his quick wit and awesome sense of humor. He enjoyed people and was a father figure to many throughout the community. The charisma that Kenny Kauffman was blessed with will be deeply cherished forever.
Kenny is survived by his four children; Tammy (Tom) Jacobson of Destin, FL, Becky Carden of Middleton, Rodney (Lynn) Kauffman of Boscobel, and David Kauffman of Shawnee, KS, eight grandchildren; Travis and Tyler Jacobson, Rick Steiner, Kassie (Dane) Cannon, Jacob, Nicole, Dakota, and Mackenzie Kauffman, one great granddaughter Scarlett Cannon, brother Stanley (Kay) Kauffman of Lancaster, sister Judy Kauffman Bartow-Evans of Texas along with several special sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and a dear friend and companion Lois Balk of Prairie du Chien.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, wife Annabelle on June 27, 2010, granddaughter Tatum Jacobson, three brothers; John “Baldy”, Donald and Russell Kauffman.
A private funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday December 4, 2020 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore. A “Celebration of Life” for family and friends will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given in loving memory of Kenny Kauffman to the Marsden Park Fund at 620 Washington St. Fennimore, WI 53809.
