David W. Lindow

David W. Lindow, age 91, of Fennimore, passed away on Tuesday November 3, 2020 at the Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Fennimore with his wife Rochelle by his side. He was born on December 1, 1928, in Manawa WI, the son of Harry and Eleanor (Cassell) Lindow. Dave was united in marriage to Yvonne Roeske on June 23, 1951 in Omaha, NE. They were blessed with four children. After the death of Yvonne, David was united in marriage to Rochelle Ellis on December 4, 1999.

David graduated from Manawa High School in 1946. He entered the United States Air Force and was stationed in French Morocco. When he returned, he furthered his education and graduated with a business degree from Marquette University. He moved to Fennimore in 1968 and was the founding business administrator of the Southwest Technical Institute where he was employed for over 22 years. David enjoyed bowling, playing golf and loved a good game of cards. He was an avid sports fan always rooting for the Brewers, Bucks and Packers. He was known for his big smile, outgoing personality and great sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his wife Rochelle, four children: Mary (Jock) Florentine of Waukesha, Mark Lindow of Berlin, Kelly (Monty) Forthun of Monmouth Junction NJ, David J. Lindow of East Troy, seven grandchildren: Kristi Florentine, Matthew (Stephanie) Florentine, Matthew (Lauren) Forthun, Derek Forthun, Mackenzie, Dayne and Lauren Lindow and two great grandchildren: Alexis Schommer and Joanna Florentine along with many nieces and nephews. He is also leaving behind Rochelle’s three daughters: Michelle (Dean) Rindy, Robin (Randy) Streeter and Stephanie (Tony) Needham all of Fennimore along with 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Yvonne (Roeske) Lindow of 46 years on March 20, 1998, sisters Joann Lindow and Jackie Weiss and a daughter-in-law Maureen (Kelly) Lindow.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday November 9, 2020 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore and burial with Military Honors to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M until 10:30 A.M. at the Larson Family Funeral Home on Monday morning. If attending the visitation or funeral service, the wearing of masks is encouraged.
