Minnie Darlene Adrian, age 88, of Glen Haven, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday February 8, 2020 at the Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster surrounded by her family. She was born on December 26, 1931 in Bloomington the daughter of John T. Sr. and Mabel (Tyler) Ames. On April 27, 1954 she was united in marriage to Duane A. Adrian.
Minnie was a 1950 Bloomington graduate. Together, she and Duane farmed in the Cassville Township until 1968 and moved to North Andover. Minnie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidering, sewing, cooking, and displaying her green thumb especially with her African Violets. She also babysat for numerous families throughout the area. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Glen Haven and the Alter Society, a Charter Member of 63 years with the Thorpe-Taylor Unit 551 American Legion Auxiliary of Beetown.
Minnie is survived by her 11 children; Mark L. Adrian Sr. of Cassville, Suzanne M. Adrian of Lancaster, Stephen (Lou Ann) Adrian of Glen Haven, Lisa (Brian) Young of Marquette, IA, Duane K. (Mary) Adrian of Bloomington, Wanda (Scott) Peters of Bloomington, Phyllis Guist of Boscobel, Barbara (Pete) Breuer of Glen Haven, George A. Adrian of Bloomington, Elizabeth (Bob) Adrian-Peters of Monona, IA, Jeannette (Paul) Esser of Glen Haven, 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one on the way along with one grand dog Daisy. She is also survived by her brother John T. Ames Jr. of Lancaster, two sisters; Mabel Joann Hackerson of Sycamore, IL, Mary Elgene Richardson of Nora Spring, IA, sister-in-law Gerry (Joe) Schaal of Cassville along with several nieces and nephews.
Minnie was preceded in death by her son Darwin, husband Duane, daughter-in-law Brenda Adrian, grandson Greg, two great grandsons Sam and Jaxson, her parents, four sisters; Alice Leone Mayne, Rose Marie Ames, Elma Mae Foster, and Beverly Alta Ames.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday February 17, 2020 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Glen Haven with a private family burial in the Settlement Cemetery in Cassville. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Monday morning. In lieu of plants and flowers a memorial fund is being established in loving memory of Minnie D. Adrian. The Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore is assisting the family.
