Geraldine A. McReynolds, age 96, of Fennimore formerly of Livingston, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday December 17, 2019 at the Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore. She was born on March 20, 1923 in Livingston the daughter of Lewin and Vennie (Markee) Millard. Geraldine was united in marriage to William McReynolds on January 13, 1941 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
In her younger years, Gerry worked various jobs. She worked at Wasco in Stitzer, Burgess Battery, Iowa County Nursing Home in dietary for two years until being employed at Dick’s Supermarket in Platteville in 1967. She worked in the Deli department for numerous years until retiring at the age of 80. She loved her job and looked forward to each day working with wonderful people and being the friendly face behind the counter. Gerry enjoyed sewing, which she made all her children’s clothes, crocheting, knitting, dancing and traveling with her husband, playing cards with family and card clubs, along with cheering on the Packers and the Badgers. She adored her family through the years and loved supporting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gerry was an active member of the Fennimore United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women groups in Fennimore and Livingston, along with being a member of the Rebekah Lodge. The family extends a “thank you” to the wonderful care she received at this time by Leslie and the St. Croix Hospice staff.
Geraldine is survived by her five children; Dixie Wunderlin of Cottage Grove, William (Dee) McReynolds of Racine, Claudia O’Brien of Fennimore, Lana (Richie) Behnke of Oregon, Jaci McReynolds of Fennimore, 15 grandchildren; Dawn (Bill) Lee, Todd Wunderlin, Mark Wunderlin, Renee (Craig) Stephenson, Cory Wunderlin, Troy McReynolds, Traci (Ted) Keriazakos, Trent McReynolds, Tonya (Ron) White, Christine (Greg) Schaefer, Craig Behnke, Jeremy Behnke, Nick Behnke, Paige (Fiancé Gerry Martinez) Bulman, and Brooke (Jon Stelken) Bulman, 19 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and one on the way, sister-in-law Geraldine Millard of Mineral Point, and brother-in-law Donnie (Colleen) McReynolds of Platteville.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, son-in-law Jim O’Brien and brother and sister-in-law Roger (Susan) Millard, and brother Wilbur Millard.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday December 23, 2019 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Rock Church Cemetery rural Livingston. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Monday morning. The Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore is assisting the family.
