Cheryl B. Budack

Cheryl B. Budack, age 74, of Stitzer, WI passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019, at her residence with her beloved family by her side. She was born on November 15, 1944, at the Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster the daughter of Jesse and Velma (Hickin) Keller. Cheryl was united in marriage to Wilfred Budack on December 27, 1962, at the Fennimore United Methodist Church in Fennimore.

Cheryl was a lifelong residence of Stitzer and served as a PMR and Postmaster for the community, retiring in April of 2010 after 41 years of service. Cheryl was committed to her community. She was an active member of the Stitzer United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday School leader, teaching Bible School, being a church organist, along with serving on numerous church committees. She was also active with the Stitzer Go-Getters 4-H Club and was inducted into the Grant County 4-H Leader's Emerald Club for serving over 25 years as a 4-H Leader. Cheryl was a member of the Stitzer Park Committee, served as a Superintendent at the Grant County Fair and helped with the Fennimore Fair. She enjoyed spending time with the Couple’s Club, her card club, the Cousin’s Breakfast, and the Christian Women’s Club. Her devotion to her family is deeply cherished; spending time together during the holiday seasons and accompanying while singing as a family. Cheryl’s smile and her love of laughter and music will remain in our memories forever.

Cheryl is survived by her husband Wilfred of Stitzer, four children; Rhonda (Jim) Hughey of Stitzer and their children Charisse (Derek) Orth and Cheyenne Hughey, and great grandchildren Zeeva and Jaylee, Brendan (Timara) Budack of Sun Prairie and their son Logan Budack, Shane (Christine) Budack of Sun Prairie, and Chantelle (Ala) Awadallah of Greenfield and their children Soraiya, Rahmi, and Qadriya, two brothers; Bernard (Elaine) Keller of Stitzer, and Donald (Marilyn) Keller of Lancaster, and two brother-in-laws; Ernell Budack of Lancaster, and Calvin Bendorf of Stitzer, special cousin and best friend Eileen Henkel of Fennimore along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law William and Edna (Gratz) Budack, in-laws; Linda Budack, Ruth Bendorf, Lila (Paul) Biddick, and Wilma (William) McCormick.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday October 18, 2019, at the Stitzer United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Thursday Oct. 17, 2019, at the church and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Friday morning.
