Alfreda O. Lee, age 85, of Fennimore, passed away peacefully at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster, WI, on Monday, April 22, 2019.
Alfreda was born March 15, 1934 in Seneca, WI, the daughter of Temron and Clara (Rand) Aspenson. She was one of five daughters and she attended and graduated from Seneca High School, Seneca WI. Alfreda was united in marriage to Theron Lee on January 26, 1952. They were married 58 years until Theron’s passing on August 29, 2010.
Together they lived in Denison, TX, while Theron was serving in the United States Air Force. Theron and Alfreda lived in the Crawford County area for several years before settling and making their home in Fennimore. Alfreda was a stay at home mother raising her eight children along with providing a second home to nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Alfreda worked for Rayovac in Fennimore and retiring after 20 years of service. Alfreda’s biggest joy in life was her family. She stood by all of her family whether right or wrong. Alfreda firmly believed she was not better than anyone else, but no one was better than her either.
Alfreda is survived by her seven children; Rhonda (Jay) Dailey of Albany, WI; Debra and (Jeff) Reed of Brooklyn, WI; Vickie Lee and Doug Bachelor; Fennimore, WI; Robert (Peggy) Lee of Steuben, WI; Lori (Kim) Elmer of Clermont, FL; Tony Lee and Penny Starkey of Boscobel, WI; Tom (Tracie) Lee of Fennimore, WI; 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 3 great, great, grandchildren; sister Helen Dayton of Holmen, WI.
Alfreda was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Theron; son Terry Lee; grandson Tyler Lee, her sisters; Christie, Nina and Thelma.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 26, 2019, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore, WI with a lunch and time of fellowship to immediately follow in the church hall. After the luncheon, burial will be in the Utica Cemetery in Utica Township, rural Mount Sterling, WI. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 P.M on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Friday morning.
